The Trust believes that franchising the bus service is the only way of making the radical improvements that passengers are demanding. A New Deal for Buses in West Yorkshire urges Tracy Brabin to take action and bring our buses back under public control.

Whilst welcoming the fact that Tracy Brabin is pursuing an ‘Enhanced Partnership’ as envisaged under the new National Bus Strategy as an important first step, the Trust believes that Leeds should follow Greater Manchester and pursue franchising.
