GDPR Statement

We take your privacy very seriously. The below explains how we protect your privacy, what data we do and don't store and what we use any stored data for. It also gives you information on how to have any data we do have stored of yours deleted. This has been updated to include the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation, which came into effect on May 25 2018.

What information we collect and what we use it for

We only collect your name and address if you decide to provide it with your submission. Your information is required to enable us to keep you up to date with the project or ask you for further views on the project. We require your consent to this processing, but you may withdraw your consent at any time. If you do not give your consent, or you subsequently withdraw your consent, we won’t be able to keep you informed about the project.

How we use your data

Your personal data will be processed by Create Communities Mapping Ltd. They provide the mapping tool where your information is entered.

Your data will be held on computer and may be stored in a country outside of the UK. We will ensure that personal data will only be held within the European Economic Area or in a country with appropriate data protection legislation in place.

We will keep your details on our database unless you ask us to remove them.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

Cookies are small data files that are placed onto your computer or mobile device when you use a website. We use this to identify the number of times a device has been used to anonymously answer our Create Communities surveys. Create Streets do not use cookies for marketing purposes

Create Communities Cyber Statement

This statement applies to the Create Communities online platform

This platform is run by Create Streets.
The personal information of respondents is not collected through the platform unless requested by the client
Our developer (thco) has a valid Cyber Essentials certificate.
Our developer (thco) adheres to ISO27001 but are not certified.
The Create Communities platform is protected by a firewall, private network and reverse proxy, and regularly scanned by the thco automated app system (detectify).
The datacentres used by our developer are only in the UK - Gosport, Nottingham and London (Farringdon), thco currently use RedStation (part of the larger ioMart collection of companies)

This platform is run by Create Streets. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen on a computer
Navigate most of the platform using speech recognition software
Navigate the start-up information box using the keyboard on a computer
Navigate the map using a keyboard on a computer
Listen to most of the platform using a screen reader
Access and use the platform on any smart device

We’ve also made the questionnaire text as simple as possible to understand.

It’s not always possible to change the device orientation from horizontal to vertical without making it more difficult to view the content.

It’s not always possible for users to change text size without some of the content overlapping.

Some of our interactive forms are difficult to navigate using just a keyboard.

This website was last tested on 10th August. The test was carried out by our developer using WAVE. There were zero accessibility errors.
